Her Story
Following a BSc (hons) Degree in Business Management and Marketing from The University of Manchester, Gemma began climbing the corporate ladder, working specifically in Marketing across Construction, Agency, and Tech sectors.
Whilst she thrived on innovation and creativity, workplace pressure compromised her health and wellbeing, leading to stress, burnout, and ultimately a diagnosis of an autoimmune illness called Graves Disease.
Her challenges working in corporate were only exacerbated by her ADHD, something that remained unrecognised until years later.
Due to personal experiences, prioritising her own wellbeing went from a ‘nice-to-have’ to a non-negotiable. And despite the challenges it brought, she became determined to translate her experience into an opportunity to educate people, and help build workplace cultures that support, retain and leverage their talented team members.
