Goalsetting
Have you set your goals for 2021 yet? I’m a firm believer in the power of goal setting, and extensive research has shown a goal is more likely to be achieved if you write it down; in fact 42% more likely according to one study! There are many reasons for this, but essentially being clear on your vision and committing pen to paper reminds us of our goals & validates them.
Goal setting for me is not a quick process, but one I give real time and thought to. I spent yesterday looking over my old journals, and it was an incredible feeling to see how many goals I had ticked off and how far I have come. From buying my first house, to training as a yoga instructor, to meeting my partner and travelling the world, it has been an amazing journey. By getting crystal clear on my vision and manifesting it, I truly believe my subconscious aligned my frequency to attract exactly what I wanted.
If you would like to try goal setting but don’t know where to start, I would recommend breaking it down into the following sections:
Career & Financial goals
Health & Wellness goals
Personal Development & Learning goals
Family & Social goals
Physical Environment goals
Spiritual goals
Then break these sections down into short term goals (0-12 months) and long term goals (1-5 years). Then map out the steps you need in between to accomplish these goals.
Start off with a brew and a scrap of paper and jot down some ideas and notes before writing your final list of goals.
Write your goals somewhere easily accessed and keep returning to them regularly - you may need to tweak and adjust things when life sends you off piste!
Finally enjoy the process! It’s exciting writing down your dreams and even more exciting when you hit those goals. I’m so psyched for bigger and better goals in 2021 and I have every faith that with my commitment, the process will deliver.
